We decided to look through trailers for titles as well to get an idea of how many title shots we need to include and what they need to consist of, these are the trailers we looked at:
|

Don't Be Afraid of the Dark
In this 150 second trailer there are 14 titles: - 2 company logo screens, one after the other - Guillermo Del Toro Presents - 'don't listen to them' - 'don't turn off the light' - 'don't let them out' - 'don't' - 'be afraid' - 'of the dark' - title screen: Don't Be Afraid of the Dark - 'based on the teleplay by Nigel Mckeand' - 'screenplay by Guillermo Del Toro & Matthew Robbins' - 'directed by Troy Nixey' - date screen, consists of the release date, website and company logos. |
From this content analysis we can conclude that we need around 11 titles to make an effective trailer. As our trailer is going to be 90 seconds long, we may need to lessen this amount as these trailers we have looked at are a lot longer than ours will be. These titles need to include the production and distribution company logos, the title for the movie and a screen at the end with the release date and all of the links / hashtags on it. We will also need some text in the middle to hook the audience and we could include some reviews from companies to make the trailer seem more professional overall.
